Liverpool winger Harvey Elliott suffered a nasty injury during his side’s clash against Leeds United in the English Premier League (EPL) on Sunday. Elliott dislocated his ankle after a clumsy challenge from Leeds defender Pascal Struijk, who was shown a red card. Struijk was sent off for his challenge which left Elliott in immense pain as he couldn’t get up after going down on the ground.
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah was the first one to react after 18-year-old Elliott endured the nasty injury. The winger initially appeared to have broken his leg in two, however, it was later confirmed by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp that Elliott’s ankle was dislocated in the aftermath of the challenge.
Salah’s dramatic reaction said it all as the forward was seen shouting towards the dugout, asking for medical help immediately. One of Liverpool’s medical staff had tears in his eyes as Elliott was stretchered off from the ground and taken to a hospital immediately.
